I have built two different loudspeaker systems and now have the time and energy to build another! However....... my woodworking/cabinet making skills are very high (he said modestly) but my design skills (maths) is pants.
I have access to a laser cutter and some serious woodworking equipment plus an abundance of ideas but I need someone without the woodworking facilities and expertise but with the mathmatical abilities to design the crossover. Also trying to make sense of the plusses and minuses of the various drivers that are available and the suitability of the different flavours/makes of electronic components would be an advantage, in order that between us we could design and build a reference loudspeaker. By ignoring profit margins and time constraints it should be possible to produce an absolutely fabulous sounding loudspeaker for about £500 - £600, perhaps a bit more. I will be guided by you. I have an all Naim audio system driving Dave Berriman floorstanders. Principal listening source is CD. |
