Default Please recommend a 15" woofer for a dipole

Some time back I was very impressed with a dipole posted by Felixx on the Systems thread.

This is one pic

System Pictures & Description

My room is about 300 sq. ft with a 9.5 ft ceiling and I am thinking of building somethnig like this.

The speaker would be about 6" deep x 18" wide x 32" tall so at best it would accomodate 2 15" woofers.

What are the choices?
Eminence (Beta 15A?)?
anything better with a rubber surround?

the rest would be managed by a 6" 2way in a shallow sealed box above the subwoofer. Based on the Orion+ I might even use a second rear firing 6" and/or tweeter. I have not chosen these drivers either but am favouring the SEAS Excel series or the Scan Speak Revelator series.

The speaker will be triamped with tubes for the midbass and tweeter.

Eminence Beta15 wired & XOed in series with an FE167E makes a spectacular sound on a fairly small U-frame.

I did consider the 167 but given the demands of this speaker I think a 2 way would be better suited. Any othe 15" that would be more suitable than the Beta 15?

The iris 15 suggested earlier has a Xmax of only 3.5mm.

Eminence drivers might be a very good choice with fullrange drivers like FR167 or Hemp 8"

With "standard" 2way drivers there might be better options - maybe the "cheap" and interesting Mach5 18" IXL sub driver, very low Fs

BohlenderGraebender NEO-3/RAW is a dipole ribbon

The Peerless suggested by Andrew could be very good, but it has a low Qts=0.28 and might not be suited fore dipole, or may it be corrected with EQ - looks like a very nice driver with low Fs and high SPL, but maybe a bit expencive fore the technology

I dont care for the looks of the Jamos. I like the looks of the speaker felixx built, but yes the idea is the same.

tinitus, I am not confident on the sound I will get from a fullrange consider a lot I listen to is rock and jazz.

For a dipole I assume the Qms and hence the Qts would have to be high (above 1.0 or so). This is what I have been led to believe. Please correc me if I am wrong.

sound check, what are the specs of the BD 15 15" woofer you used? Where are they available?

BTW, Should I go for a push-push pair for the midbass and tweeter? Drivers I am looking at are :
6" woofer: Seas W18NX
1" tweeter: can one use a tweeter with no ferro fluid; I would be thinking of the Seas T25C03.

What are the disadvantage of ferro fluid?

Alternately the ScanSpeak 18W8546/8545K mated to the 9700 is another option.
