The Statements are a W-M/T-W floor standing speaker project that I created with a great deal of help from Curt Campbell and Wayne Wendel. It's an open back/transmission line design on the mids. Those look great. Now if only I could convince the wife that large speakers are a good thing....

What inductor did you use for the two Dayton woofers? A typical steel core, or one of the low re toroidals?

The secret to WAF for a speaker this size is to set them next to line arrays. Then they look small. :-)

We used an Erse steel laminate inductor on the woofer circuit. That is the only spot I'll use anything but an aircore. However, a toroidal should work fine there too.

I've built many speakers over the last few years and this is easily the most successful project. The sound quality way exceeded our expectations.
