Default Motorola/CTS KSN1005 vs. KSN1038

What is the difference between these two speakers? Does anyone have a preference for one over the other? I think I heard that the 1038 replaced the 1005, is that right? Which would be better to pair with a KSN1025 2" x 6" wide dispersion horn, to take care of the upper mids and highs?
