Default Loudspeaker Quality Measurement

to the guru's, please help. how do you measure total rms power? example, in the spec sheet of the speaker, it is stated"15W RMS into 4ohms at 100Hz at 10% THD".. how do you measure the 15W RMS? another is "System THD: Better than 0.05% THD before clipping". how do you measure the THD (total harmonic distortion)? last is "Signal to Noise Ratio: >80dB". how do you measure ang SNR? what are the test equipment needed.

They just assume it 's a nominal 4 ohm load, then put a distortion measuring kit on it. Turn it up until you register 10% THD, then see what the drive voltage is. Use that to work out power into 4 ohms.

System THD before clipping, I would imagine is an amplifier measurement. Ditto the signal to noise ratio.
