to the guru's, please help. how do you measure total rms power? example, in the spec sheet of the speaker, it is stated"15W RMS into 4ohms at 100Hz at 10% THD".. how do you measure the 15W RMS? another is "System THD: Better than 0.05% THD before clipping". how do you measure the THD (total harmonic distortion)? last is "Signal to Noise Ratio: >80dB". how do you measure ang SNR? what are the test equipment needed.

They just assume it 's a nominal 4 ohm load, then put a distortion measuring kit on it. Turn it up until you register 10% THD, then see what the drive voltage is. Use that to work out power into 4 ohms.
System THD before clipping, I would imagine is an amplifier measurement. Ditto the signal to noise ratio.
