I have two sets of speakers that have the JBL 2371 Horn and 2415H driver combos in them. The crossovers for these is very simple with a .4mh inductor across the coil and one set has a 5uf cap in series with the inductor/V.C the other has a switch with 5uf and 8uf caps. but thats it. simple. nothing to tame any peaks, or resonances etc. they just let the woofer go unfiltered.
So, has anyone worked with these and found something that has worked to tame this combo. are there any known and easily fixed issues i could implement to help tweak these boxes?
One set is the MI-291 combo in home made box with Peavey BW 15"s. the other is the JBL MI-632 cabs.
