Default Supplier for drivers in Australia?

Can anyone recommend a good supplier of quality tweeters, midrange, and woofer drivers in Australia? Be they Vifa, Scanspeak, Focal, or such; who sells them for a reasonable price?

The best way is to try to get trade status with WES Component. You do need an ABN though, but you will then have access to Vifa, Scan, Peerless, and a couple of cheaper lines.

Soundlabs sell Visaton drivers, and Manger iirc

Seas, Adire and Hemp can be purchased from AranmarAcoustics, but they are not cheap, and it can often be cheaper to import specials from US, I nearly did this a couple of months ago,but funding wasn't enough :-(

WAR Audio sell some of the more expensive brands , but their web site is strange (imo)

Hope that helps a bit. There may be others, but I deal with mainly WES, because the trade prices are nicer !!

ps: where are you located ??

I don't think Peter from RZ is doing it any more. He was just using his Trade status to get a better deal than retail for his fellow DIYer.
He is coming around here on Monday, I could ask him I guess.

Hi Andy,
I thought he was still good for Scan Speak drivers but you obviously have better knowledge than I. Are you out on the lake as well?
Just an old novocastrian wishing I was back up there!!
Cheers,

I'm up in Waratah, near the Uni.. sorta makes sense seeing I will basically be full time up there for the next few years.

Itinerant student ;-))

I'll let you know what Peter is up to, but since he built that yummy open back hybrid, I don't think he can see the need to build anything else !!

Yes please let me know what Peter is doing and I agree that his OB hybrid is indeed yummy and something I could aspire to building myself.
Not a lot of sun and surf in Waratah but at least you're not far from the beach.............
Cheers,

I bought my Peerless and Vifa drivers from here:

They are good to deal with and pack carefully.

Andy's correct about getting trade status with Wes.

I'm in NZ and I did, and it was a massive saving. Kudos to Wes, a great company.

I bought Vifa & Peerless. Quick delivery, good service. They also have a printed catalogue.

Yes, I still sell the Scan Speak drivers and have removed the others to take a load off. An ABN through WES is the best way to go if you can.
