Hey all, almost completed my speaker cabs. Anyone have the formula for "fill" ratios? I would like to use the proper amount of stuffing, help slow down/remove standing waves, dampen etc.
Thanks, Rino Odorico |

Hi,
What kind of enclosure is yours? I'm afraid that the stuffing depends on it. Unfortunately, if you're looking for some kind of formulae for stuffing, you will have to look in another dimension

Hi Raka, thanks for the reply.
It's for a Vented Enclosure. I understand that "stuffing" a Vented Enclosure is not generally recomended, but I do so like to play. |

Well, its only a small "make work" project. Keeps me out of trouble. What I am doing is kind of different...I think. I'm building a small set of 2-way cabs for my bedroom consisting of a 6.5" woofer and a 1" soft dome. It will be a "slot" port design, box will be a rectangle but with no 90 degree angles inside. As well, as having defusers and some sort of trapps. Basically I'm trying to use "Room" acoustic treatment as well as "enclosure" acoustics inside of it...will it make a difference in doing so...don't know, only one way to find out. Like I said, I like to play.
