Default Suggest if i can bridge

I have 4 scoop bins all loaded with RCF G400, and have a crest 8001 for driving all 4 scoops, and its great.

G400 are rated at 1000W (AES Power Rating) and crest 8001 is 1250W @ 4ohms / ch, (i.e. 625W is being pumped to one driver).

Can I bridge 8001 for driving 2 scoops, which would pump 1250w per driver, would it be safe please suggest, i usually set the output of amps just touching the clip led.

Best consult the amp manual or connection info given on the amp itself. I would imagine the amp is already internally bridged. Are you sure you understand the power rating correctly? 1250 watts into 4 ohms per channel usually means each channel is 1250 watts, so the total for a 2-channel amp is 2500 watts.

yes i referred the manual and it specifies the foll.

720W - 8Ohm Stereo
1200W - 4 Ohm Stereo
1400W - 2 Ohm stereo
2250W - 8Ohms Bridged
2800W - 4 Ohms Bridged

One should use a amp rated at 1.2-1.5 times the rated power of driver.

I feel i am not using the full capacity of the Driver, and still i want to be safe before trying it out.

Are you saying you normally have all 2 bins wired in parallel per channel and they are 8 ohm bins? So you are loading each channel with 4 ohms?

And now you want to try driving one pair of bins again at 4 ohms total, by the whole bridged amp? If so then from the spec it appears that you can do that.

But what then will you power the unused pair of bins with?

+3dB SPL as you are doubling power input.
