Im looking for some ideas from members on here, how people built there speaker stands. I was going to make something like this with 2 pieces of 3" pvc then fill with sand like i did before. I thought i would ask for ideas and suggestions from others.. I could just buy a pair for 139$ too.

A cheap way might be to find at a building supply offcuts of the composite decking (trex) 4x4 posts. Just need a base and top if the speakers are larger. The hollow ones you could tap holes to route speaker wire through. Even at $4/ft they are still a decent buy.
$139 for a solid stand, quality isn't that bad a price if they work cosmetically. It comes down to your time to make something up and the availability of materials to use. |

I don't know if this will help. Here is a company that specialises
in speaker stands for both Pro monitors and HE. http://www.soundanchors.com/ .................................................. ............... |
