Default Scanspeak 18-8535 Drivers

Hi Fellow Forum Members,

This is my first thread, so hopefully I am not going over old ground - I did search for information but couldn't find a clear answer.

Can anyone offer their views in regard to the ScanSpeak 8535 drivers. I am about to build a pair of ProAc Response 2.5 clones which will house a pair of 8535's.

I understand that there are 2 models, the 18W (unshielded) and the 18S (shielded).

Are there any differences in the sound that these models produce?

The specifications appear to be pretty much identical and logically I don't expect there would be differences, but I'd like to hear from any members that have had experience with both these drivers.

Cheers,

Chris.S
