Looking at the crossover design it looks like the tweeter needs to have the polarity reversed. I searched and the question has been asked but there was never a answer to it. So, does the polarity for the tweeter need to be reversed?
I tested my crossovers and everything sounded good, just didn't have as much low end as I thought (1cu.ft. sealed) but I think that is due to the fact I didn't screw the speakers as I still have to finish painting. |

The polarity of tweeter on Zaph's web page should be correct. Electrical 2nd order doesn't necessarily require reversed polarity, since its resulting slope is usually acoustic 4th (or 3rd) order, combined with a driver's natural roll off.

Hi,
Yes, the designed slope is 4th order L/R acoustic which has an in phase tweeter. 2nd order acoustic (not electrical) generally requires out of phase connection. |
