Default Re: Quick wiring question!

Hi,
The crossover schematic shows two woofers in each cabinet. Are you planning to use two woofers each with dual coils?

Are you using different drivers than the designer intended for this crossover and do you know the consequences? I can't find the original design notes on the site so a link may be helpful.

Do you have the specs for your dual coil drivers?
Was the crossover meant for 4 or 8 Ohm woofers?

If you are simply looking to get them working then you just need to match the impedances of you drivers to the crossover design and the other drivers.

More, (any!). information is needed to move forward.

Best regards,
Martin.

Its for an eight ohm design so I would suggest putting the coils in series on each driver(for 16 ohms) and then running the 2 speakers in parrallel for the 8 ohm load.

From the website: "....it needed to play fairly low and also maintain an 8 ohm overall impedance."

As ocool_15 says the designer is trying to maintain 8 Ohms so follow his (ocool_15) instructions of wiring both coils in series and then wiring each driver in parallel just as the schematic shows. This is the clear cut way.

Here is the link to the speakers for anyone who is interested:

Cheers,
Martin.
