I have bought a 2x8, digiFP and digiVol.
Haven't got the 4x10 plugin as yet as I need to box it first.
I suddenly realised that I don't know and can't figure out how I can switch between a digital input and analog input.
Reading the Vol-FP sheet it says I can select between the digital inputs but is analogue only select-able through the 4x10 plugin?
If that is the case I will probably have to dump the digi-FP and vol-FP as analogue would be my main input.

You can configure the four presets for either analog or digital input and make your selection that way.
Or, you can select both analog AND digital in the routing matrix and the two inputs are actually summed. So, if one of the inputs has no signal present you'll be listening to the other one.
The miniDSP 2x8/4x10 unit is extremely versatile in this aspect.
