Just spoke with someone at MiniDSP Ltd. in Hong Kong. The gentleman wasn't too sure, but he believed that you cannot run a MiniAMP on top of a MiniDSP 2x8. He said it wouldn't get enough power from a 2x8 MiniDSP, and that it was usually run on a 2x4.
Can anyone confirm this?
Wait...looking at the MiniAMP spec sheet (manual, I don't remember), this board seems to have a standard power adapter on it for an AC adapter. So why then would it not get enough power. Wouldn't power be unlimited if it has an standard power jack?
BTW, they are also out of stock of the 2x8/8x8 case right now. It won't be in stock, they believe, until the end of the month. GRRRR...just when I was about to place my order.
