Does the 2x4 kit need a plug-in?
Sorry for such a simple and basic question, but I can't find the answer through any searching. I know the 2x8 and 8x8 absolutely require a plug-in (the data sheets say so), but I can't find the answer for the 2x4. Does it come with one already loaded? If so, which one?

I'm pretty sure the plugin is for the comp to configure it so yes they all do I would say.
|
Yes. From minidsp 101:
"A plug-in is the software user interface required to control a miniDSP platform from a PC/Mac environment. You must purchase at least one plug-in to operate your system." |
Thanks. I don't know what gave me the idea the 2x4 didn't require one.

You can purchase these after right? They don't need to be loaded on the mini DSP before I buy it? (cuz I just purchased one lol)
|
Yes, no problem bying it later After purchasing it will be activated in your personal download area.
|
Just do it. This thing is the best thing since sliced bread :D.

I bought a plug-in and can't find it? The file attached to my email is a 39kb .png file and it's just an image of "minidsp"
Where is my plugin supposed to be? |
When did you buy it? Maybe it takes a short time until the download is activated in your personal download area!
In my download area are executable files. |
I bought a miniDSP plus the plug-in one weekend. About six days later, I think, I got an email or something that the plug-in was available for download. I also got a notice from USPS that I had a package waiting at the office. I picked up my miniDSP from the local Post Office, downloaded the plug-in, and now every day is a happy day. :D
If I recall, the plug-in download was about 1.5 Mb |
