Hello there!
I'm mighty interested in this little kit but I am primarily a linux user so I have some questions: Does the minidsp module only have to be connected through usb to a OS with installed drivers when configuring the module or always? In other words, can I configure the minidsp on windows then disconnect the usb cable and the minidsp will continue to filter according to last config? Thanks in advance Olle |

Olle,
You indeed only need the USB for programming. Once configured, the DSP runs on its own and can either be connected to a simple USB charger, external DC supply or to your Linux PC. Although the linux PC won't be able to control the miniDSP, it will provide the USB power fine to the board. Makes sense? DevTeam
