Default req. suitable cabinet for Alpair 7p

Hello,

I have ordered a pair of Alpair 7p. But not able to get much info on its cabinet.

Could you please suggest a suitable cabinet for Alpair 7p to get best out of it, for stand alone use (ie. without any other speaker/sub-woofer support)? Will be using it with TV (movies, music) or a music player (music).

thanks and regards
S Sarath

Not all that many people have actually got A7p in use, so most people will have guesses.

My 1st guess is Frugel-Horn Mk3. Chris is in the midst of doing up another set for our use for these (and CHN, FE103 Sol).

I almost have a set of A7PeN done and have been walking past both the very first set of FH3 and Maeshowe...

I will be going up a full set of miniOnken (including CGR).

The frugal horn was the first thing to come to mind. I do not believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) there are plans for a pensil cabinet yet.

Space and budget permitting, a small powered subwoofer may be another option if power handling/SPL is a concern.

Should do fine in FH3 (I've checked). Dimensions for 7P pensil now with Dave & Mark.

Tabaq?

TABAQ TL for Tang Band

If you ask politely probably Bjohannesen will crunch the numbers for you.

It already has been done with 10.3

For compact footprint, a Pensil should work as well. - Scott / Dave has that been modeled / drawn yet? - I've lost track.

yes, if I'd read the entire thread I'd have seen that - as much as I love the FH3/XL, there's something to be said for the ease of build and compact footprint of the Pensils - hard to fault either of the formats

if Dave is "going" up a full set of miniOnkens, how many does that mean I'll need to build?

If floor space is not a concern, and with only performance is considered which of these will bring best out of Alpair 7p when used without any helper woofer/sub-woofer?

Probably Maeshowe. FH3 if that is too big.
