several models of CH / EL 70mm cone have actually been offered in black
CHBW70
CHP70
CHS70 (metal - limited distribution, IINM)

OEM:
EL70
EL166 / Woofer6

but AFAIK, none yet of the Alpair series

well, except for some models in this series are sold as singles - and as Mark noted somewhere -

might be more than just Al in the cone alloy - but more than that would be proprietary trade craft?

Would an aperiodic vent in a sealed enclosure aid or worth implementing in a full range single driver arrangement?

Depends what you're trying to do. If you've had to compromise on the volume of a sealed box (i.e. it's smaller than you'd prefer), then yes -they'll help drop its Q a bit.

Out of interest - what's the main advantage of an aperiodic vent over a passive radiator?
