I thought I would be losing something on the bass but in the FHIII cabinet, they're just fine so I'm going to throw my hat into the ring with this for a very reasonably priced driver, they certainly don't disappoint my old ears. I am getting the highs that the EL70 couldn't quite deliver. If I was a young guy like Chris perhaps I could deal with them but I think the new ones are just the ticket. Besides, with the nice champagne coloured cones, they fit the bedroom decor quite nicely. Hey, anything to improve the WAF is good.
Cal, so glad I was able to bump into you at the show. Glad to hear you're happy with your sexy gold drivers. keep me informed as you put some time on them since I grabbed a pair also.

David

David, and whatever you do, don't get Mark going on about Jaguar or designs on the back of fag ( cigarette to the non Brit fluent) packs

Soon, in the non tobacco world it'll be cocktail napkins, and those are notorious for poor survival rates.

Yes David, it was really nice to run into you and the Mrs.

The CHR 70.3 is just what I have typed. If you are at all familiar with the EL 70, you can appreciate why this driver works a little better for me. Even without break in, I get a fairly balanced sound from them. Break in will be slow as these are in the bedroom and will be used mostly for TV with a little exercise music thrown in for good measure.

Hi Chaps.
Many many thanks for a fab time in Canada. Must admit to being a tad tired but it was more than worth the effort. Eric and Me had a great time crossing Canada, meeting friends/diyers, seeing/listening to all the wonderful systems and box designs and taking in the fab scenery. I only wish more time was available.

My brain is buzzing with new mods and ideas, many thanks to all for their fab input.

Here's a pic of me talking at the Chilliwack event. Hope folks could understand me. Amazing attendance (I think over 60 diyers attending).

Cheers
Mark.

A joy for us all, Mark

Next time try and schedule for when it's not pi$$ing and blowing sideways - I understand a certain weekend in late August can be fun - if you don't mind another bunch of crazies - perhaps not as well behaved as our mainland brothers, but something happens at the mountain ...

10th Annual Vancouver Island diyFEST 2013

and, oh yes, there'd be a bit more listening than we got a chance for
