Interesting - a much taller Pensil 10.3... a lot of folks who wanted a higher driver position (closer to ear height) - now they get it.

Scottmoose 23rd June 2013 08:24 PM

Not influenced by that. The driver height is a function of cabinet length. And the cabinet length is a function of driver requirements and the target alignment. But yes, it does mean that people do have a greater driver height as a side-benefit, which is nice.

Right Scott - I was alluding to the side benefit; I took it as a given that the box satisfied your performance oriented goals first. :)

There are those who might disagree. :D

Thanks mucho for those new Pensil plans.
Was wondering if a bookshelf design was on the table for the 10.3's?

Seems well suited for a 15 Liter bass reflex as well

Scottmoose does your pensil for the 10p have the built in bsc as with the other pensils? If so that sure makes that little paper dimple driver all the more beguiling.

well, IINM, the BSC is actually engineered into Mark's drivers - which might simplify an enclosure designer's job? :D

or not? ;)
