Indeed. I already know precisely what I am doing with my pair.

Are there any changes to the A-10 Pencil for the A-10.3 Metal?

Guys, until Mark actually finishes the design and gets us measures from production, how can we look at the box designs... patience.

Guys,
I'm planning to be at the factory this Wednesday to complete testing of early production batches of drivers. I'll be posting the final data later this week to early next.

Thanks
Mark.

Excellent. Thanks Mark. Will try to get a pensil for the new boxes sorted out fairly quickly. On the positive side, this shouldn't take too long given I've got my design sheets mostly automated now for a variety of alignments, including these.

Scott,

Any chance of designing the Pencil enclosures to be a little taller with the driver at a higher point away from the floor? Would it be possible to have the driver around 30 - 34 inches / 75 - 85 cm above the floor?

It depends on the driver. The pensils are designed to a specific alignment, so axial length depends on the driver's characteristics to hit the target response. As it happens, the 10.2 box was a compromise; I would have made it taller under slightly different circumstances, which are no longer applicable. The 10.3 box might end up being taller, it might not, depending on the final production EM spec. of the new unit.

Interesting. And an interesting coincidence that the 7.3 and 10.2 Pencils were the same height. I thought maybe your model had a fixed height and width dimension and varied the depth based on the T/S numbers.
