I am building a studio for a friend. We have our main monitors and nearfield monitors sorted out.
for my third monitoring source, i want a pair of small sealed, full range drivers. i do not want bass below about 100 Hz... this speaker will be used to monitor the critical mid range only - and also to make sure that there is enough bass guitar and kick drum content in the mid ranges, for the music to sound sufficiently full when played back through small speakers. (currently I have a Fostex Fx120 performing similar duties in my studio.) the auratone 5c is a classic studio monitor used for the same purposes. NOW. I want to put these Alpair 7s into a sealed box of approximately 5 liters. Will they serve my purpose? Will I need BSC or any other circuitry? Is it $85 for the pair or per piece? Thanks. |

anyway, at $85 a piece, they are out of my range... it says "drivers are packed in pairs" - and so i thought I could afford it... |
