I actually think in those walnut cabs some chocolate colored drivers with gold "tracks" on them would be stunning. Do you by chance know how much mass you're adding to the driver when you're coloring them? It seems like the more porous paper cones would suck up a bit more material than the metal cones. I'd be interested to read your findings on how the enable process varies between the metal and paper coned Markaudio drivers.

Reds are A6Ps - same paper as 12s, - which does take some colors quite nicely - the veneer was remnants from a lovely sheet of highly figured Cherry. With an alcohol based penetrating stain and a couple of coats of NC - the camera can't quite do justice to the depth and life of the grain

As to stock color of the pastel blue paper not quite working with walnut - there's always the option of fabric grilles

with 22 liter Vas for the Alpair 12 and 43 Liter Vas for the 12p, I don't understand
how the same boxes can be used for both.

They can't really. Qts and Fs also play a role.
