CHP-70, CHR-70 package size & weight
Hello, buddies.
I need a quick help. Please, provide me with information about CHx-70 packages sizes and weight. External dimensions needed. I need exact dimensions, not "some about zero and infinity" :-D As I understand, it comes in pairs, doesn't it? Thanks! |
Nightuser,
My CHP-70 (gen-1) box (for a pair of drivers) measures 12.25" (L) x 6" (W) x 3.5" (H). But these are older drivers, and cannot say if Mark Audio has changed box sizes. The drivers are mounted in a cab, so cannot tell you the exact weight. Maybe Mark can chime in. |

this looks like a question for SuperDave, DangerousDave, Lance the magnificent oops, did I say too much :D |
Current pair box size for CHR/P/BW/Alp6 and Alp7 = (mm) 315(L)x152(W)x90(H).
Thx Mark. |

I think he was looking for shipping weight in box as well? |
With care the CHR/CHP can be put into an outer box and still come in at under 2 kg.

Not to hijack, but since we're talking the CHP70 - would it be doable/advisable to do a 1st order xo w/ the ERT tweeter to the CHP? (yes I know the EL70 is available, but I am curious anyway).

that'd be my direction Tthe new CSS LD25X does look interesting but at $118 a piece, I'd reserve judgement 'til after hearing a pair, and even then for a much higher end project. $370 for a pair of mid/bass and tweeters is a big step up from under $110 for CHP/ CHBW & ERT |
I have all 3 versions of the chr-70 and they all came in different size boxes :)

Thanks for everyone!
Ofcourse, the question was asked, because i was looking for international shipping solutions ))) May I ask another question? What the advantage is, if several (one pair?) FR speakers used per one box? I saw such builds, but I do not understand what the goal is... Frequency response seems to be similar. |
