Chris what sort of size listening room do you have and what amplification are you using for the MAOP 7's ?

varies actually - largest room is 420+ ft ^2, largest amp is 70WPC Denon AV receiver, but "best" , I mean "my favorite" sounding are 12WPC EL84 P/P or 6W or so 6CA7 SE

the MAOPs certainly have no problem displaying the differences in amps and quality of source/ recordings

OK interesting. I'm keen to try the MAOP driver. First I'll try and get my hands on a pair of older Alpair 10.2m so I can have a play with my enclosure designs without the stress of worrying about dinging expensive cones!

be prepared for a wait on the MAOPs, and if you need to ask the price ....

to be honest, I think that both Scott and my pairs were "trade accommodations" from Mark, and I honestly don't know if there is a regular "retail" price

got a quote earlier this year from a retailer, a pair of 10.2 MAOPs is priced at $500.
