Indeed. I think multiple 10" or bigger woofers are needed.

The video should be used for promoting sales. I know many people would buy drivers based on youtube videos of excursion.

I'll bet you a dollar there's more than one hifi shop using a copy of that CD.

Not in the city close to where I live. But maybe that's because they don't have any proper speakers. Speaker store number one only has B&W, Dali and Cerwin Vega and they're all either too small or don't go low enough. Speaker store number two is slightly better (REL Gibraltar and Velodyne subs) but with 10sqm rooms there's not much to do really.

Mark, that's a very interesting read. What I try to understand is why Matsomoto san did not just use two 10.2 drivers for the nearfield setup and use them full-range without the 6Ms. I tried to contact him, but can not find the e-mail on his japanese site and on his english site there is no contact information. :-(

Hi R,
Matsumoto san's studio is very small so its a question of squeezing in all his experimentation and listening gear. I doubt there is necessity for a second LF driver given the space limitation.

I will ask him about contact details, but he's only 1 man, small-scale audio-experimentation is his hobby. He likely worries about being swamped with emails.

Thanks
Mark.
