Those look great. IMO solid wood looks best. Love the outrigger feet.

^^^ Agreed. Very complete looking and I like the horizontal arranged wood on the sides contrasting with the vertical on the front.

um, I'm still waiting for my pencil 12's.

I'm unsure what to do with the 10's. Maybe a dual driver like the Aurousal vs (without tweet).
Aurousal VS loudspeaker - Review [English]
Or a bedroom setup. Or some nearfields. Maybe a bipole...

Someday........Thanks....

Norman,

How many Alp 10s do you have? If you've got 4 then you might consider trying out the speakers in the following thread, post #14 by Toppsy:

miniOnken/Fonken Picture Gallery

He's (rather his son) is very happy with them.

I have 2 drivers, but I listen in mono (1 speaker) since experimenting with ambiophonics. But it may be time to go back to stereo (I'll try when 12's arrive).

I like the dual onken for his son (listens to rock), especially since I've played with dual drivers before. And 280cm2 is more are than an 8" (and no nasty whizzer).

That box was for the Gen1. Alpair 10 (so it won't be suitable for the current Gen.2 model), not the A12. You'd be pushing it with twin A12s sharing a baffle.

Thanks Scott for the correction - sorry, I was under the impression that Norman had some Alp 10s with him also. And also did not realize that Colin's project was strictly Gen 1 Alp 10 and not Alp 10.2
