Yep should be screws? Do your 7's look just like the ones on the Markaudio website?

Hi Mark,
Can you please advice me what is the difference between the sound of CHP-7 and Alpair 7 (I think they are nearly same price following your website) and which one is much better as I plan to buy one soonest? Also can you please which horn cabinet I can build to? Merry Xmax Thanks |

The CHP is directly related to CHR70 & EL70 (which is based on the ealier CHP). Not available here, i haven't actually heard them the CHP, but the other 2 & the A7 i have. The A7 should be more refined, , the CHP more robust.

I'm killing time in Melbourne airport waiting for the flight back to HK. So...... Differences: CHP-70 - goes to 20kHz (Classic paper sound) Alp-7 - goes to 30kHz. (detail, clarity and range) Alp7 cone is more micro-resoncence sensitive than CHP. You'll hear more detail from the Alp7. However, its more demanding on source and amplification. Don't short change the Alp7 on the up-stream side of the system. Merry Christmas, Mark. |

Yup. but I need 48 hours in a day. Gradually upgrading data availability. Hoping to launch a new Markaudio website by this late Jan. Take a look at the Alpair 12's Japanese test review. Includes waterfall and distortion data stacked up against 2 respected Japan drivers. You'll get a good indication of the Alpair family performance. http://www.markaudio.com/news/2010-03/japanese-review Cheers Mark. Last edited by markaudio; 23rd December 2010 at 09:55 AM.
