Default Bug in the search engine?

Hi,

I'm experiencing problems with the search function: when I look for a specific word, and ask to search only in thread titles, I get matches with threads not having the word I asked for in th title

Here's an example; try with "feedback", in titles only
I get many matches without feedback in the title.

Alex

It wouldn't suprise, me, the current search engine is rubbish, but we'll have a look at it.

What I hate are site searches that won't let you search for 2 or three-letter groups. Like if you were looking for info on Sony chips and wanted to search for CXD*, or for ZF truck transmissions.

I think one of the Mods told me that the search engine will be overhauled soon. Or maybe it was the whole board.

Being able to search within a single thread would be really, really nice.

Have you ever looked at the box at the bottom right hand of the screen whilst you're viewing a thread?

Sneaky.

I think it doesn't comes into view on my screen unless I scroll down - so I never saw it. That's my excuse, anyhow.....

Alex

If you read the option on the search page a little closer you'll realise that it searches post titles not just thread titles.
