I heard that before, but with a BMW, not a vette.

Along those same line, a BMW driver got into a bad accident. When the emergency medical technicians got there he was lying on the side of the road, saying over and over "Oh my god, my BMW,oh my god, my BMW."

The EMT saw him an said "Sir, you've got more serious problems than your wrecked car. In fact, sir, you've lost an arm."

"Oh my god, my Rolex..."

No, that was a couple of years ago, price dropped by half.
€12.5k , 19% sales tax included, makes ~$15k.

(still not cheap, but it's such a cool thing)
