Very splendid. Makes bashing holes in a chassis and running a few wires between components look trivial.

Let me understand this.
You are on a DIY AUDIO forum and your computer doesn't have SPEAKERS ???? Moderators ....sound the alert .....!!!!

It did have speakers for a very short while - until I tracked down the hum to a permanently powered humming mains transformer in the "subwoofer" box. One day, I might make a lead to take computer sound to the proper amplifier and loudspeakers. Then again, I probably won't.
