Talking What did happen to the texan Harry Haller ? :-)

For me at least, his presence will never be missed! Very influentially to me personally.

RIP! Harry

He went feral, so for the sake of himself and the forum, we took him out to the back yard with a shotgun and put him down...

I know later on he bacame Fred deickmann?. But he was a good designer no doubt about. Not mentally calloused like others about technical specs.

If a vishay bulk foil resistor sounded better or an OSCON, he would use it. In spite of the fact the audio waveform was never altered on "high end" test equipment.

Respect Brother...

Fred was brilliant but difficult.

I hired him briefly to refine a complex Sallen Key design for a DAC. He was just outstanding, very down to earth, and unbelievably knowledgeable.

I loved his swashbuckling style, but he left quite a trail........

Cheers,

Hugh
