Default linear algebra / DSP help -- levison algorithm

for a class i have been ascribed the task of writing a function to solve for coeffcients in an autoregressive modal using a "levison algorithm". i am having a hard time finding any info on a "levison algorithm".

the closest thing i found involved determinants. however my equations have no square matricies.

i've tried google already, also searched the forums -- found info on mark levison and opamps.

Chris:

First of all, I apologize if I am wasting your time, as I am way over my head on this. But so far, nobody has answered your question, so I am taking a crack at it, however unwisely.

You might find some info on google if you try "levison-durbin algorithm".

Second, here is something that looks interesting. At least it has to do with Levison-Durbin and sound, (speech):

Finally, the US patent office, www.uspto.gov has 41 hits for a quick search on:
Term 1-levison
Term 2-algorithm

I clicked on the "levison" reference in the first one, and came to this patent:
http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-P...y=PN%2F6008815

That's patent number 6,008,815

I have no idea if this post did you any good whatsoever, but good luck anyhow.

PS: I think that is Mark Levinson, not Levison, with the op-amps.
