Default Eli Wallach RIP

I saw "The Magnificent Seven" when it came out, didn't get the connection to Kurosawa until I took a film course in college. One of the great personalities of the silver stage:

Eli Wallach dies: Character actor known for ?The Magnificent Seven? was 98 - The Washington Post

PS -- if you're a phys or chem or engineering major, still take a course in Cinema.

I took mine in high school, the Jesuits of course.

BTW I'm partial to Tuco. The sound track on RCA/Italy is wonderful even the CD.

I forgot that he was in "How to Steal a Million" with Peter O'Toole and Audrey Hepburn. Light entertainment for a Saturday night. Wallach must've been in 100 movies and 50 tv shows.

Yup, Tuco the "ugly" probably holds a personal record for how many times I screened it in my 4 years film programming at MIT. A lucky time, no cable, no VHS, no DVD, we were the only show on campus and had three screens fully equiped with double 16 and 35mm projection.

I have seen this classic and favorite movie upward of 20 times, and will enjoy seeing it again and again.
