I don't have this problem with Internet Explorer

That is so, both on Mac even Netscape 4.08, 4.80 and PC XP Mozilla 1.3.

And yes, I have the same "problem". What is the reply window supposed to look like?

I have Netscape 7.1 and yes, i have same "problem". I have it also with linux and Mozilla, but i can't remember what version i'm using. Never even tried with IE.

Equally wide as the window....would have been nice.

Mozilla 1.3a (BeOS)
Safari (Mac)

Wider on:
NetPositive (BeOS)
IE 5.2 (Mac)

I take it this is academic...

Audiofreak has enough on his plate at the moment

I don't think audiofreak has something to do with this.

It's certainly a bug in the vbulletin code. Newer versions are availeble, but upgrades aren't free, I think
