Default where to talk about sound processors?

I don't want to mispost on a board that it's not appropriate for, can someone give me a heads up of where I would post on things along the lines of Carver Sonic Holography, Yamaha's DSP modes, and similar?

Or questions about say the history of cinema sound and various formats (like Todd AO and SDDS-8 channel formats)

I'm still seeking things in the "DIY" mindset regarding them (will be obvious once I post I think) and hoping for the forum with the most readers as well obviously as long as it's on topic.

I think "Everything Else" would be the most appropriate area, but this is close enough too.
