Recommended viewing: "Silicon Valley" on PBS
Saw it last night, so it will be on your various PBS stations over and over again -- starts with Noyce and Schockley in 1955, the problems with Schockley's ego, Fairchild Camera, and ends with the 4040 processor. Fascinating to see again guys like Noyce, Grove, Sanders, Last, etc. some of whom are alive to be interviewed.
