Another feed claimed there were hundreds of states. It seems they are giving a state to every little twist of things very hot and very cold. I guess you can't get funding is you are discovering a slight twist to an EBC, but you can if it is " A totally new state of matter"

This makes how many states of matter? I recall the "Fourth State of Matter," plasma (electrically charged ions in gas, not blood plasma) being featured in the 1960s on the TV drama "Lost In Space."
