Default 500 pages? Really?

Among a number of books including a textbook on FET's for one cent, I picked up the new Self book on electronic crossovers. Sure enough, he does have 500 pages of things to say. Revisiting the basics I thought I knew explained a few things. Now I need to go back and rework all my spreadsheets.
