As for Actors I don't have a favourite. Favourite is a word that is not really in my vocabulary, it is a very strange concept for me. There are so many good things in life that I can't choose one over another and say it is my favourite

I saw a lecture/demo on TV where Michael Cain was demonstrating to a grad school audience techniques between stage, film, and TV. He had the students do a piece, then he would do it. There are no words to describe the level of craft he displayed. .

Then there was a man who did his "acting" on paper. Tex Avery. The best of the best.

Gee, I thought by his English, Lewis was a High School Graduate form our nation's capital school system.

The best actor is one that "becomes" the character to the point where you no longer see the actor, only this other person. Tom Cruise, and many other 'actors' portray themselves trying to be a character. The fellow who does the "Die Hard" series, is a good example, it's always him, not another person.

You may not even recognize who is doing this metamorphosis, because frequently they do not get the sort of star status they deserve.

Something to consider.
