google re-direct...how do I get rid of this?

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. I think something has installed spyware (or something like it) on my machine.

Whenever I type in www.google.com or try to use my google toolbar I get redirected to a page entitled..

"The Gigantic Search Engine at com.net"

Which offers help on getting my website into the "Top 3" etc...etc... They have a google looking search box in the center, but i doubt it does that. Much more likely it is reporting what I type to a third party or worse.

Any ideas? Any clues? I can use my laptop to do google searches (same network access) and when I do a search for the www . com . net web site (spaces added on purpse...don't click on this guys..) I don't get too much help.

Thank you!!!

Have a look at this: http://www.com.net/FAQ.html

If you use windows:
Clear your cache.
Patch your system: www.windowsupdate.com
Update your virus scannerand scan your pc..
Download Ad-aware: www.lavasoft.de and make sure it scans all your drives..
You'll be surprised what you will find.
