George
Thank you for the link, George, but I am not about to get into the design process of speakers. I think my fascination with preamp and amps is more than enough, in addition to what I do, which is maing power line filters.

Besides, I already own a pair of AR94, which have been completely overhauled and a little upgraded (e.g. pure silver wiring inside) AND a pair of JBL Ti600 speakers, plus my own, B&M Audio 1041 Monitor.

Speaking of Backes & Müller, makes me wonder which 1W power amp would be suitable for their outtaspace Line 100 contender ?

If you refer to me, I am not speaking about Backes & Mueller, but of a local company using the acronym B&M, standing for Blaža & Mirko. They are, unfortunately, gone now, but they sure were a good company in their day.

Perhaps even a sort of a cult status, given that several others tried to copy their work, and that their vintage products fetch very good prices today, on average better than their imported counterparts.

1) Acoustic suspension- I was involved with two speakers just introduced using acoustic suspension techniques. Something in excess of 100K have been shipped in the last year so I would say its not dead.
2) Patents have a 17 year life from issuance and are not renewable (thank god). Copyrights will last as long as Disney can milk Mickey Mouse.

Ad 1. Any reason for secrecy regarding the brand and model of these speakers? I promise I won't hold it against you.

Ad 2. I stand corrected, I'm a little out of touch, I was last involved in the subject some 9 years ago and things have probably changed. And in fact, it was related to copyrights rather than patents, so it was different from the start.

Speaking of speakers, for ideological reasons having to do with the impossibility of the journey to the past, I try to avoid feedback in my amplifiers.
For some time disturbs me a silly question

What is the optimal damping factor in an amplifier, in order to get deep bass?

I try not to talk about this since there is a commercial side and self promotion is unseemly. The products are the Beatbox: Beatbox - Beats by Dr. Dre by Monster and Beatbox portable Beatbox Portable . Now its OK to laugh.
