Default RIP - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Today would have been Stevie's birthday

He played electric blues - perhaps not everyone's favorite choice of music - but near and dear to my heart.

I miss Stevie and his music.

There is an album available at HDTracks of Stevie with Albert King. Highly recommended.

Even if it's not your style of music,Give his tunes a listen.

Not to mention his skills on the stick. Legendary guitar player.

Even if his music is not your cup of tea, it is nigh impossible to dislike it -- he was just that good.

The old adage "I like all music as long as it's good music!" applies to SRV.

Don't be sad that he is gone - be thankful that he made some fantastic recordings and we have them to listen to.

In our main town park, the statue with pride of place is... SRV. I was lucky enough to see him live several times. Recently, Double Trouble backed Oz Noy at one of the local clubs. Fun!
