Stealing shoes.....now that is bad. Unfortunately I don't know if a "safe" place exists in any country..... I live in a very rough area with a high crime rate (4 armed bank robberies, one man held up at gun point and several gang shootings in one weeks time within 2 miles of my place) so I think living in a cave is my next step. It's pretty mandatory to have guns in the home here for protection, not that I'd ever shoot anyone over speakers or shoes but I'd love to see the look on their face when I chambered my shotgun......everyone knows that sound

Sorry to hear about this, trying to think what you could use for a cabinet which is cheap and available (I've made ports from toothpaste tubes to save money!)
And hope you make a swift recovery, both my parents have had cancer in the last 18 months, my mum is now ok after the op/radiotherapy and my dad's was pretty bad but he also pulled through. He went on a strict diet (no red meat etc) which he reckons helped alot.

Thanks Bill and sorry to hear about your folks. Cancer is no joke and has made it's path through my family (mostly stomach and colon cancer). I thank my lucky stars everyday mine has yet to be deemed cancer but my fear is it's only a matter of time.....but in the end all we really have is time so I'll enjoy mine until a diagnosis of Cancer and even more so after.

I was actually thinking about my "kleenex box" comment......I have seen cardboard boxes before as templates I wonder how and what to use to stiffen the cardboard...... I do have some cardboard tubing here for shipping I could use for ports and plenty of cardboard.....that's really all I could work with here in an apartment anyway.

Hey man, I feel for you! That sucks! One day I needed to carry something with my dolly. Moving it, one wheel just fell. The bastards took all the screws that hold the wheel in place, and put the wheel back so all looks fine. I understand people need some screws in a hurry, but why didn't they put them back when they got time? This is Canada... how much do 5 screws cost? I had replacements at home, but the time and just the act in itself was offensive to me. Wish you a speedy recovery!

Sounds crazy but one material which has been used for speaker cabs successfully is polystyrene!

Underfloor insulation 2" think one brand is floormate very hard.

Usually you find some leftover at construction sites or ones with broken corners at the local lumber yard.

Glue with plyurethane then cutting nicely isnīt critical.
