What does balanced and single ended output and has single ended Imput.

To work whith an amplifier that I can't remember I am building right now.

Can one mention on this tread how fed up he gets with posting on other treads because of same members and Co.

Or can you be a bit more specific and name names (of the preamps).

UGS line stage

there are numerous balanced line stages around

Pumpkin is certainly wakoo-est , especially because of Shunty ...... but I'm biased

so, why is it that big production companies, like marantz, and krell, build amplifiers like they do, if designs as simple as pass', will give better quality? with less parts? and i'm assuming cheaper to build?

Pass is having fun , while making money ;

they lack that most important part - having fun

so - their amps are less fun

simple , isn't it ?

( if you make proper analysis , you'll see that tiny parts are just small part of price of amp ..... so - small or double small - difference is negligible )

Their marketing depts will never allow them to make an amp with 0.1% distortion. On the spec sheet comparison you'd be one tick down on Sony which equates to 10,000 potential sales

But seriously, Zenmod is right, they just don't know how to have fun

For the record I don't have an F5..... yet
