Nickel with a hole in it

Today I went to Lowe's to purchase some 1/4 inch washers. I am mounting a variac.

25 washers for 2.51:eek:

It would cheaper to drill holes in nickles and half price too.

Is it against the law to do so?

Not against the law any more. But why not use pennies? The fewer of those we have, the better!
