Sorry if you've seen this before, but I just came across it:-Blackbody - $959.00 : LessLoss high end audio power cables, audiophile power cables, audiophile cables. There's also a Stereo Times review of it here:- StereoTimes --.

It's this kind of stuff that males me distrust audio reviews so much.

This part is intended to impress people who are 'into' science, but don't actually know any science. Probably somewhere else there will be blurb aimed at people who hate science, but are 'into' crystals and 'energy' lines etc. The big question always is: do they believe it themselves, or do they just hope we believe it? Are they fools or knaves?

It's also something you can say in a tongue in cheek manner when there is something as unjust as a $959 power cable. When a sharpshooter is needed to scare them there shysters back into line.

Cal, the power cable is $5000. The $959 is for the box that does nothing. But you need at least four in order to experience the lack of effect.

I made the mistake of reading the linked Stereo Times article. I don't often call people "stupid," just "naive," "gullible," "credulous." I am tempted to make an exception...

Ah yes, I see that in my haste to discredit the power cable I failed to notice it wasn't a cable at all but a mysterious black box.

Wouldn't those people be called into Science Fiction, and not Science?!
