Nice factory. The beginning of the film was done in Berlin though.

I once saw a great little documentary on cradle to cradle and loved what Ford did to their factory. The whole roof was a wetland where waste water was "purified".

I was there in 1986. I remember lots of big red propaganda banners with statements like "je staerker die communismus desto sicherer die frieden" and hardly anyone on the streets. The day (in February) was crystal clear and the stark blue light gave everything a very surreal feel with bright reflections and strong shadows....

Neat to know that things are different now.

How far is that from VW's test track in Ehra-Lessien ? Three hours ?

I was there in 1966, in high school, on my way to Berlin. 2 decades after the war it was still rubble upon rubble.
